Blaming Solidarity is ridiculuous-: T. Shakir

Kozhikode: Solidarity Youth Movement state president T. Shakir termed a police report, which said the organisation instigated stir at DGP's office premise, as "ridiculous". Shakir, who strongly condemned the report, said that it is useless to raise doubt against people's movement to rid away the public's anger against government.

"Solidarity is supporting the struggle of Jishnu Pranoyi's family who seek arrests of the culprit behind his death. However, Solidarity was not there in the protest conducted at DGP's office. No social organisation took part in the protest. The police report which blames Solidarity for the incidents at DGP's office is dubious. The government might have planned to quash the protest which sought justice for Jishnu and cast a shade of doubt on social movements. Solidarity strongly condemns the dubious move of the government. Solidarity will stand up with the democrats who support struggle of Jishnu Pranoyi's family.
